Robyn Charlton – Manager Events and Stewardship

Robyn Charlton’s career began in education, where she spent 13 years teaching Primary & Physical Education. A change in career direction led her into the family Business (Charlton Media) where she had responsibilities as the Sales & Marketing Manager (Vic & Tas) and then National Production Manager. In the late 90’s Robyn moved into the field of Event Management working across both the Corporate & Not For Profit sectors. Her involvement in office administration and event coordination across Australia and the US over the past 20 years has shaped her career.
Robyn worked for the Australian Dancing Society (ADS) for 15 years. Her roles included administration, as well as the event coordinator, of the Australian DanceSport Championship held annually. Prior to joining Learning For Life Autism Centre, Robyn was the Senior Executive Assistant at Wendy Brooks & Partners.

Sue O’Shea – Events Assistant

With a background in teaching Phys Ed, Sue O’Shea has always enjoyed organising events and people. Being a volunteer with kindergarten, sports groups and schools has also been an important part of her adult life which she has balanced with part time Fitness Training and her family; husband, two (now adult) sons and two German Shorthaired Pointers. An active lifestyle and enjoying the outdoors is also important to Sue and she now spends many hours on a bike seat in the gym or on the fabulous bike trails of Melbourne.
Sue has known Mary for many years as a Hawthorn local, and through her, she now feels an integral part of the very important Village that is Learning For Life Autism Centre. This is Sue’s first experience working for a charity and she treasures the knowledge that her contribution to the fundraising team makes a difference in the lives of many families. Sue says it is a pleasure to work with the staff at L4Life and it is inspiring to see the work that they do to make positive changes for children with Autism. |
